Thesis Submitted

Today, another milestone in my odyssey has been completed. I’ve submitted my thesis, an investigative personal narrative I’ve been writing for the last decade, to my MFA in Creative Writing committee at Eastern Kentucky University’s Bluegrass Writers Studio. Although I won’t officially graduate till I defend this summer, there’s no time for a well-deserved break just yet. My next step is to prepare and complete any submission materials a potential literary agent may want to see and review.

I was assigned to Vietnam as both Military enlisted & Diplomatic Officer (FSO) during approximately 16 of my total 40 years combined military & diplomatic service. All of my 12 years military service except for 14 months of pre arrival training, was in the South Vietnam II & III CORPS areas (where your father was also assigned), plus the Secret War in Laos (‘73 to ‘76) including the Refugee Camps in Fort Chaffee – Arkansas & Eglin AFB, Florida, after Evacuation April 25, 1975 to Thailand/USA. Let me know if I might be of any service. Bruce Warren Rush, Sr.

Bruce, you’ve already been a great resource. I’ve completed a draft of my book and am currently seeking literary representation and publication. Hopefully I’ll be able to sign a contract within the next few months. Thanks for touching base.
